ULLIN, IL (April 22, 2024) – School will soon be out for summer, and Shawnee Community College in Ullin is once again offering kids camps for children around the region.
There are 26 camps scheduled between June 3 and July 24. Topics include Esports, Roblox, Minecraft, basketball, sewing, Safe Sitter (babysitting certification), crime scene investigation, cooking, cookie decorating, and more.
“We’re proud to be able to offer such a wide range of programs for children to attend this summer. Some of our camps will introduce future Saints to programs available at the College. We can’t wait to welcome hundreds of kids back or to our campuses for the first time,” said Lindsay Johnson, Director of Community Education and Outreach Centers.
Besides Shawnee’s main campus in Ullin, all four extension centers will also host camps this summer. Those locations include Anna, Cairo, Metropolis, and Vienna.
Registration has started and is available online. Campers will receive a t-shirt and, in some cases, lunch (check the schedule for details). Visit shawneecc.edu/community-education/ for more information.
