Application: Complete our online application.
Note: If applying to an ADN, LPN or OTA program, follow the steps on this page. - Acceptance: You will receive an acceptance letter and email once your application has been reviewed. This will include information on next steps, including a link to set up an appointment with an SCC advisor.

Transcripts: Submit official high school transcripts. If applicable, submit your GED scores.

Placement Testing: Some programs may require placement testing in subjects like math and English. This helps us ensure you’re placed in the appropriate courses.

Financial Aid: Explore our financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, and loans. Our financial aid team is here to guide you through the process.

- Course Registration: Work with an academic advisor to select your courses and build a schedule that suits your needs.

Orientation: Once you’re registered for courses, attend our orientation session to get familiar with campus resources, facilities, and academic expectations.

Admissions Policy
Shawnee Community College maintains an open-door admissions policy for all potential students who have obtained a high school diploma or GED Certificate. In the event of space limitations, preference for admissions will be given to District Residents.
Students may be admitted by providing proof of high school completion via official transcript with graduation date.
