Tyler E. Tripp is the current Union County State’s Attorney and a proud SCC Alumni. Elected in 2020, Tyler received his education, graduating from SIU School of Law. Tyler values hard work, honesty and humility and holds a deep passion for public service.

Working hard in and around the community in Southern Illinois, Tyler established a general practice law office based in Union County in 2017 and served as Chief Public Defender from 2019-20. Tyler enjoys supporting and encouraging others and has a great appreciation for those who serve their community in order to further the common good. Tyler began serving on the Foundation Board in 2024 as a way to give back to an institution that played a major role in his future endeavors.

While considering the capacity of greatness in others, Tyler strives to lift others up to achieve their full potential. Much like in the movie, Good Will Hunter, we should all strive to lift up our fellow man.
