Lee Ann Stokes is the Assistant Director at the Center for Behavioral Health and Accessibility at Southeast Missouri State University. She recently joined the Saints Foundation Board in 2024. She joined the board because as an alum and former employee of the college, she understands how important the college is to the community.
Lee Ann attended Shawnee Community College on a band and choir scholarship before she went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in English and M.S. Ed. in Higher Education from Southern Illinois University- Carbondale.
She is an advocate for disability rights and has been actively involved in the community by working with the Autism Society and Tailor Institute. She has provided several in-service presentations on ADA law and regulations, disability awareness, and inclusion. She was the keynote speaker at the 2024 National College Testing Association National Conference.
Lee Ann is a proud mom of three wonderful children: her two sons, Clayton and Westin George, and her bonus daughter, Annabelle Stokes. Lee Ann and her husband, Josh, live in Olmsted, Illinois. In her spare time, she enjoys photography, gardening, painting, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Lee Ann would recommend that everyone watch the movie, Ordinary Angels, because life can be hard, but we all can persevere and do good in the world. One of her favorite quotes from the movie is, “We all need to find meaning and purpose outside ourselves.”
