About Me
Nancy Holt spent the first five years of her life living in Dongola, Illinois, moving with her family to the small community of Hillerman in Western Massac County, where she began first grade in the Joppa-Maple Grove School system, graduating in 1974.
She completed a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Murray State University in 1977, taking several courses at Shawnee Community College during the summer months. She passed the Certified Public Accounting Exam in 1983 and became a licensed CPA, a license she held until a few months before she retired.
In 2006, she completed a Master of Business Administration degree from Murray State University. Nancy spent 15 years working for a regional CPA firm, first as a staff accountant, then as a senior manager. Nancy then worked as an accountant for a Kentucky HUD agency for three years.
Her last employer was Southern Seven Health Department, where she was hired as the agency fiscal officer in 1995 and was then promoted to executive director in 2000, retiring in 2018 as the executive director/public health administrator.
Nancy is married to her high school sweetheart Bill. They live in the Boaz community in Massac County. The couple enjoys spending time with their son, daughter-in-law, and two grandchildren living in Metropolis. The Holts also like to travel and go antiquing.
